I personally love obscure brand names, but I also recognize the marketing efforts involved to build brand awareness for an obscure brand name. If you are working with a limited marketing budget, you may want to consider a domain that is easily tied to your theme (and is memorable).
Second, it’s all about the SEO (Search Engine Optimization). If you want to give yourself a quick win right from the start, include your primary keyword in your domain name. If you aren’t sure what your primary keyword is, consider it the theme of your blog.
For example, if your blog is going to be about weddings or about being a bride, consider using “weddings” or “bride” in your domain name.
This indicates to the search engines what your blog is about and will help you (along with an SEO strategy) gain rankings in the search results.

To set up your Bluehost account, simply follow these steps:
- Click the “Get Started Now” button
- Enter the domain that you selected in Step 1
- Enter your contact and billing information
- Select the hosting term
- Select your extras
- Click Submit
3. Update Your GoDaddy Domain (if applicable)
If you already had a domain registered with GoDaddy and want it hosted by Bluehost, you will need to connect your GoDaddy domain to your new Bluehost hosting account.
This is a very easy process.

4. Install Your WordPress Blog on Your Bluehost Account
For this last step, I’ve provided step-by-step visuals to walk you through the easy WordPress installation process.
From the Bluehost Control Panel, click the “WordPress tools” link in the main navigation.
Then, click the “New Install” button in the left-hand navigation
Domain: Select your domain from the drop-down menu
Path: If you want WordPress to manage your entire website/blog, leave this field blank.
If you have another platform managing your website and only want WordPress to manage a portion of your website, enter that location in this field.
Site Title: Enter the title for your website/blog.
*This can be updated in the WordPress dashboard later.
Admin Username: Create your admin username
Admin Password: Create your admin password
Admin Email: Enter your preferred email for the admin account.
*Additional users can be added through the WordPress dashboard.
Click the “Install WordPress” button
You have officially installed your WordPress Blog through Bluehost!
